About Mid Beach
Mid Beach is the stretch of Miami Beach running roughly from 23rd Street to 63rd Street, and it represents the perfect balance between the party atmosphere of South Beach and the quiet residential feel of North Beach. The sand here is wide and clean, the water is the same gorgeous turquoise as the rest of Miami Beach, and the crowds are noticeably thinner. Mid Beach is home to some of Miami's most iconic luxury hotels, including the Fontainebleau, Eden Roc, Faena, and The Edition — landmarks of Miami Beach's glamorous mid-century heyday. The Indian Creek waterway runs behind the hotels, and the Boardwalk (a paved beachfront path) extends through the area for walking, jogging, and cycling. Mid Beach offers a more sophisticated, adult-oriented beach experience without the college-spring-break energy of Lummus Park or the tourist-heavy scene of Ocean Drive. Excellent restaurants are concentrated around the hotels, and the area is well-connected to the rest of Miami Beach by bus and rideshare. For visitors who want beautiful Miami Beach sand without the South Beach chaos, Mid Beach is the ideal choice.
