About Wynwood Walls
Wynwood Walls is one of the most important outdoor street art destinations in the world, located in the heart of Miami's Wynwood Arts District. Founded by visionary developer Tony Goldman in 2009, this open-air museum transformed a neglected warehouse district into a globally recognized cultural landmark. The Walls feature massive, building-sized murals by internationally acclaimed street artists and muralists from over a dozen countries, with new works added regularly to keep the collection fresh and evolving. Inside the walled compound, visitors find curated murals, sculpture installations, and a gallery shop. But the art extends far beyond the Walls themselves β the surrounding blocks of Wynwood are covered in murals, making the entire neighborhood a walkable outdoor gallery. The Wynwood Arts District has since grown to include over 70 galleries, creative studios, craft breweries like J Wakefield Brewing, trendy restaurants, and boutiques. Wynwood comes alive during Art Basel Miami week in December and during the monthly Second Saturday Art Walk. The neighborhood is one of the most Instagrammed locations in Florida and an essential stop for any visitor to Miami interested in art, culture, or photography.
